If you could do a documentary for capstone, what would the topic would you have and what POV?
My capstone is a research project turned best business plan for the pros, cons, and regulations of animal testing for bio medical research. I would try to do it from the point of a medical professional and take it back through the process of how the research is done.

What is wrong with this video?
The cameraman seemed to get confused at one point making awkward zoom-ins and outs of the guy at the computer. The man in the white shirt looked extremely uncomfortable and maybe should have moved a bit more. The music was so annoying; the same repetitive music is not okay for seven and a half minutes.
The scenes in the computer lab had too many keyboard noises. It was distracting and unprofessional.
What is right with this video?
The scenes of campus looked nice. The cut shots were great. The different aspects of Richland that they talked about were good and they had several people share their experiences which added authenticity.

How do I spend my days?
Riding Horses
Riding horses is one of my favorite activities because it really helps me relax and forget about the stresses that I have. It also helps me get excersize and alone time.
Volunteering
Volunteering at Equest and Medical City are two very different, yet very fun and rewarding expericences. At Equest I work with horses, instructors, and kids with disabilities. At Medical City I work with doctors, nurses, patients, and other adults.
Agility Training
Agility training is a new hobby of mine. I becamse interested in it after a family friend introduced me to agility. Since then I have been training dogs to jump through hoops and crawl on the floor and everything in between.
Church
Tyler Street has been my church for the past five years and it has been great to grow up with the youth group, seeing older friends leave and new kids move up fromt he children's church. I love going on missions trips and paying visits to the Tyler Street Manor.

Get to Know Me
I am in RCHS because I wanted a different experience from my old school. I have been in magnet school since I was in fourth grade, but the school that I was at was not allowing me to figure myself out and develop confidence and esteem. That school is currently the number one public school in the United States. I took five AP classes in my first two years of high school including calculus, biology, and computer science which left me little time to understand who I wanted to become. RCHS has given me a chance to explore who I am and what I want to do with my life. I have gotten to participate in an accelerated program that will help me get through college faster; I have also had the spare time to work and volunteer places that I never knew about before.
I have a passion for helping people and a hobby of riding horses. Helping people makes me feel like I have worth and that there is a reason for me being here. Riding horses is how I help myself. It relaxes me and gives me time where I do not think about anything but what I am doing at that exact moment. I don't worry about anything outside of riding and I think time like that is very important. Having time to escape is essential to keeping a calm and steady life.
In college I want to study medicine and right now for an undergraduate degree I am looking into bio-medical research. I think that will give me a good head-start introduction for medicine and will also give me a great background in the field of medicine. At the end if the road I want to be a surgeon, and while I am not currently sure which branch of surgery I want to do, I am leaning towards pediatrics.
My personality is such that working hard and becoming a surgeon is not unrealistic. I have many strengths but my two main strengths are that I am a thinker and an action type of person. I can look at a situation and find the problems with it quickly. I can be handed an assignment and charge through until it is finished. These two strengths together are very helpful. I can find problems and then easily have them resolved. I'm driven by outcomes, appreciation, and knowledge. Gaining knowledge may not seem like the most exciting thing to most people, but to me it is a reward.
I currently volunteer at a therapeutic horsemanship facility named Equest. While there I clean stalls, care for horses, care for clients with disabilities, participate in lessons, and gain experience about being reliable and trustworthy. Last spring the mother of a client I worked with offered me a job working with her to help her daughter with her work, her riding, and her social skills. This really helped to show me that if I work consistently hard, it will be noticed and rewarded.
If you asked me what I wanted to do a year ago I would have said that I wanted to become an instructor for therapeutic horsemanship, but at the beginning of this last summer my grandmother got very sick and was in hospital for over a month in a critical care unit. She has had multiple surgeries and each one has saved her life. Without these, she would be gone and I would not have a grandmother anymore.
I participate in theater groups at my old school as well as a few service groups at RCHS. Right now I am volunteering at Medical City Children's Hospital, learning more about hospitals, people, and becoming a doctor every shift. I'm currently looking for a job but hopefully I will get one soon!
I was born in Whitehaven Hospital in England and lived in the town of Great Clifton for six years before coming to America. I am the first in my family to pursue a medical career and a career that entails a doctorate degree. Before me, my mother has had the highest level of education in the family, having a masters degree. She is excited and proud to see me thrive in school and watch me on my way to become a doctor.
